Basic Massage

Swedish
This most common form of massage uses strokes, manipulations, and movements to stimulate, relax, or rehabilitate the body. This includes a rejuvenating eye pillow over the eyes and warm neck pillow to help relieve tension in the neck. Good for general relaxation, stress reduction, and over all monthly maintenance.

Deep Tissue
Also called “deep muscle therapy”. This works deeply into the sub-layer of the muscles and connective tissue to release chronic aches and pains. This includes warm towels on back and feet, and biofreeze application on the back for extra pain relief. Good for people that prefer deep pressure, athletic people, and people that suffer chronic aches and pains.

Prenatal Massage
(ONLY AFTER 1st TRIMESTER)
Many methods of massage and somatic therapies are both effective and safe prenatally and during labor and postpartum periods of women’s pregnancies. Prenatally, specific techniques can reduce pregnancy discomforts and concerns and enhance the physiological and emotional well-being of both mother and fetus. With regular massage during your pregnancy, skilled, appropriate touch may facilitate labor, shortening labor times and easing pain and anxiety. In the postpartum period, specialized techniques re balance structure, physiology, and emotions of the new mother and may help her to bond with and care for her infant. Prenatal massage is usually done on one’s side, holding on to a body pillow to support the baby and the mother’s tummy and lower back.
60 minutes – $75 | 90 minutes – $110

Reflexology
Reflexology involves manipulation of specific reflex areas in the feet that correspond to other parts of the body. Sometimes referred to as zone therapy, this bodywork involves application of pressure to these reflex zones to stimulate body organs and relieve areas of congestion. Similar to acupressure principles, reflexology works with the body’s energy flow to stimulate self-healing and maintain balance in physical function. This technique is used to reduce pain, increase relaxation, and stimulate the circulation of blood and lymphatic fluids. It is especially useful in stress-related illness and emotional disorders. It includes our tea tree aloe lotion, warm towels on the feet, an eye pillow to rest over your eyes, and aromatherapy to relax your senses.
30 minutes – $45 | 60 minutes – $70

Hot Stone
The stones are immersed in water and heated in an electric heating device until they are within a certain temperature range. The stones may be placed at specific points on the back, in the palms of the hand, or between the toes. Your therapist also uses the stones to actually massage the body; this spreads the heat to relax all the muscles that come in contact with them. The heat warms and relaxes the muscles, which allows the therapist to apply deeper pressure, if desired. The warmth of the hot stones improves circulation and calms the nervous system. Your therapist also places stones on points that are thought to be energy centers of the body to re balance the body and mind.
60 minutes – $80 | 90 minutes – $115
